Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and Oslo, the capital of Norway, are both bathed by inlets of the sea. Lisbon is on the banks of the River Tagus Estuary, and Oslo, on the banks of the Oslo Fjord, or Oslofjorden.
In fact, the coastlines of both Portugal/Galicia and Norway are very indented, which makes the western coast of Iberia full of rias, just as that of Scandinavia is full of fjords. Here is a short list:
PORTUGAL/GALICIA | NORWAY |
Ria de Alvor | Agderfjord |

Also between cities and their urban landscapes, history and topography it is possible to find parallels, of which we shall speak another time. For now, just stay with some photos.
